Nancy Majava: Nancy was also asked for a short bio for this page and told us, I was diagnosed with COPD 5 years ago and spent the first year in denial, which means I spent a good deal of the time in Hospitals and emergency rooms. When I finally realized I was sick, I was devastated! My life had been very full. I owned a business, was active in the world of show dogs, as well as having many other interests. I felt that my illness had robbed me physically, financially and emotionally and came to the List in the spirit of "misery loves company." What I found was a group of intelligent, caring, knowledgeable, and fun individuals who showed me I could still have a full life, be somewhat useful to others and enjoy making new friends on an almost daily basis. As well as information, this list has given me support when I am down, education when I required it, friendship at all times and a good laugh when it most counted. I hope I never forget to be grateful to it and the wonderful people involved.
