| Carol Holley: Carol Holley is the Program Coordinator for our SmokeNoMore Program, and she joined the COPD list in January 1999 after her diagnosis of COPD. Carol also was one of the success stories in our endeavors to create an atmosphere where individuals could quit smoking. Carol quit smoking during one of the Quit-A-Thons which was the predecessor to the current SmokeNoMore Program and then was the "Head Quitter" in a subsequent program. When the current SmokeNoMore program was conceived, Carol became the first team leader and became the SmokeNoMore Coordinator in the latter part of 1999. Carol lives in San Francisco with her cat Sammy and works full time. She has been in the travel business for 36 years, and was listed as one of the 10 top travel agents in the United States by "Smart Money" Magazine. She has owned an upscale travel agency for 17 years. Carol lost her husband of 27 years to cancer in 1998. Her interests include traveling-her favorites are Italy, England, France and Africa--and cooking. She also enjoys opera, symhony and ballet and playing her piano. |
